Join Ian Bragg, Vice President, Research and Statistics, IFIC and Lesli Martin, Senior Vice President, Public Affairs, Pollara Strategic Insights as they walk members through the results of the 2023 Canadian Mutual Fund and ETF Investor Survey, which was launched on October 5 at the IFIC Annual Leadership Conference.

The survey explores investor confidence, the value of advice, responsible investing (RI), sources of financial information, understanding of and satisfaction with statements, document delivery preferences, and the impact of inflation.

In 2023, four areas were identified for examination and focus:

  • Sources of investment information and the use of social media
  • Incidence of direct investing
  • Understanding of fee disclosure in CRM2 statements
  • Document delivery preferences with a focus on e-delivery
